“Contrary to popular belief trauma can be healed….trauma is not a life sentence”
Awakening the Tiger, Peter Levine
Peaceful Heart Network works actively and non-profit to spread knowledge and relief from trauma to people living or working in zones of conflict and/or post-conflict.
We train Government Workers
We have shared our experiences of coping with post-conflict trauma and reconciliation with government organisations such as the Folke Bernadotte Academy. If you work in such an organisation invite us for a workshop.
We train Trauma Tappers
In post-conflict areas we travel and teach trauma tapping to survivor groups through organisations such as Norwegian Church Aid, Fambul Tok International and similar. Once a Trauma Tapper is trained, this person can continue healing both themselves and others – empowering on a grass root level. Want a training? Contact us.
We Produce Instructions
We design and produce visual aids and instructions in the form of calendars, artwork, comics, videos and written instructions to help spread TTT in as many ways as possible. Most of them you can download for free here.
Trauma is everyones reality
Millions of people in the world suffer from some kind of trauma. Children, teenagers, adults alike – in the western world and in developing countries.
Regardless if this trauma is the result of a personal incident, an accident, an act of terrorism, a natural catastrophe, war or genocide – the effect is that the traumatized person no longer finds a the motivation and energy to participate in life on a family and society level.
One challenge with traumatic stress symptoms is that traditional medication and psychotherapy require time and economical resources, which make them hard to apply in larger disaster zones and areas with a high number of people in need of de-traumatization.
Since 2006 we work with a seemingly simple first aid relief technique that can be taught to and applied by anyone, and we have documented results that may seem incredible.
We invite any other method or research that can improve treatment of trauma and Post Traumatic Stress to be part of our work.
We are a non-profit organization working globally and primarily to relieve trauma stress symptoms.
You can make a big change in very small ways – by simply spreading the knowledge about this Trauma Tapping Technique. If you want to link to us, mention us, join us or donate to our projects, rest assured that your contribution will make a big difference – regardless of size.
